Over 100 participants lost upwards of 150 inches through digitally driven wellness challenge.

SAN JOSE, CA, June 08, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fit3D, the leader in 3D body scanning technology in the fitness and health market, announces the results of the company's first ever inch loss challenge, hosted by customer Key Health Institute Edmond (KHIE). The challenge resulted in 150 inches lost by participants of varying physical attributes, and not a single inch lost was measured by hand. KHIE and Fit3D challenged participants to lose as many inches possible in a six week time period, beginning in February 2015.

The winning numbers:
First place winner place lost 5.4 inches
Second place winner lost 5.36 inches
Third place winner lost 4.18 inches

The Fit3D ProScanner documented the participant's inch loss journey by capturing a 360 degree, 3D image of the human body while extracting the most commonly used measurements tracked for fitness progress - all within a mere 40 seconds. Tracking inch loss progress in a single individual let alone a hundred is a traditionally arduous process if done properly - the use of a tape measurer to document a suite of measurements typically takes about twenty minutes per person. Not only does Fit3D's technology streamline the measurement process and provide a convenient place to track progress data, it also eliminates the human error variable of inconsistent measurement tape placement time after time.

"The Fit3D Inch Loss Challenge and the utilization of the Fit3D ProScanner in that capacity was electrifying for our members. They've never been able to evaluate their progress like this before," explains Patrick Wellington, CSCS, NSCA-CPT and Director of Fitness Services for KHIE . "This challenge has increased member engagement and helped keep our members accountable towards their goals. We're looking forward to hosting another Inch Loss Challenge given the results we've seen."

Waist circumference and waist to hip ratio measurements have long been used to understand the overall health status of an individual. Health and life insurance companies continue to use this data to determine the health risk of the individual applying for coverage and gauge their premiums accordingly. The wellness industry has seen a tremendous shift of corporate wellness dollars from reactive, prescription-based care to preventative medicine, incentivizing members to invest in their health early on. The Fit3D ProScanner captures and tracks this data and is self operable. The KHIE Inch Loss Challenge is just one example of ways the Fit3D ProScanner can be used to keep users accountable towards their health.

Greg Moore, CEO and Co-Founder of Fit3D, is thrilled about the challenge feedback from KHIE administrators and participants. "Inch Loss Challenges like this one show users just how effective the Fit3D ProScanner can be, not only as a fitness assessment and tracking tool, but also as a motivation platform," explains Moore. "This is just the beginning. We look forward to being creative with this process in the future with KHIE as well as other customers. The Fit3D ProScanner truly helped participants maximize exercise and nutrition programs throughout the course of the challenge."
